A week has passed since our ‘Master Your Mindset’ workshop at Oxford University and I think we’ve finally come back down to Earth! We were so thrilled to have such a fabulous group of women join us for the day so we could explore the topic of mindset and share experiences together.
Three wonderful women connected so well on the day they’ve since met up for dinner - how amazing is that!?
One of the things that strikes us with this workshop is how similar we women can be when it comes to our self-talk. No matter who we are, where we come from or how we’ve been raised, we all have that negative alter ego chipping away at our confidence (and we’ve know some pretty confident women). Seeing a group of women acknowledge and accept this, then find a way to work through it, is always a powerful thing.
We need these workshops.
Because not nearly enough women truly believe in themselves. And even if we want to, we may not have the complete toolkit to do so.
Too many of us have an inner bully rather than an inner bestie. We had some amazing personifications of those bullies when we shone a spotlight on them last week!
We need to take care of ourselves, of our own self-talk, our own inner narrative, and build ourselves up so we can tackle whatever the world throws at us (within reason - we don’t have a plan for a nuclear war or anything).
And that’s what our workshops do. They give you an introduction into understanding your mindset better so you can begin to get out of your own way. We can do so much when we stand confidently and own every bit of ourselves, rather than holding on to limiting beliefs. We’re so passionate about getting out there and helping women help themselves to feel more positive.
We were delighted to receive some awesome feedback from our fantastic group:
“The day has been so thought provoking. I can’t wait to take on all the tips and increase my positivity and improve my life! Can’t thank you enough.”
“Thank you for running this course just at the point when I really needed it! Amazing to know how powerful your mind and body can be and that I have the power to make changes to both.”
“What wonderful energy! And full of useful and powerful techniques and exercises. Thank you!”
“There is something so empowering about getting a group of women together to talk about this stuff - thank you for such an amazingly brilliant day!”
If you weren’t able to join us last weekend, never fear! We will be running it again soon - email us if you’d like to join the party and we’ll book you a place. Alternatively why not talk to us about hosting this workshop near you?
Until then, keep on Power Posing (oh, and Voguing of course!)
P.S. One of our wonderful delegates sent a beautiful letter the following day, ending on this note which we’d like to share with you all:
